The Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island Environmental Education Program is administered by UGA Extension and is located on six acres of the small, barrier island, Tybee Island, Georgia which is only 3 miles x .5 mile. Our Environmental Education program offers hands-on learning experiences for all school types and grades, with a focus on our local, coastal ecosystems. Each program is customized per specific objectives requested by the visiting group. Every year, we host thousands of guests from all over the southeast in which students get to learn about the natural world around them.Â
