HURRICANE DORIAN: Update as of 9/2/2019 Thank you all for your thoughts, calls, and messages as hurricane Dorian approaches our coastline. Jekyll Island is currently under a mandatory evacuation, and we are working to pack up here (all humans and education animals) and secure Camp Jekyll. At this point in time, we are uncertain of the effects that Dorian will have on Jekyll Island. We expect to know more after the storm passes through later this week. Thanks for your continued support! University of Georgia Extension and Georgia 4-H have been connecting children to Georgia’s coastal environment on Jekyll Island since 1983.   We now reach more than 13,000 youth each year through our Environmental Education Program and Summer Camp Program. We are excited to partner with the Jekyll Island Authority to welcome any youth organization (school, camping, religious, scouting, sporting, community) to utilize Camp Jekyll’s beautiful new facilities for lodging, meeting space, recreation, and meal needs.

4-H Camp on Jekyll Island is a week-long experience that includes visits to the beach and many other fun and exciting activities.
