Our Facilities

The Wahsega 4-H Center is the perfect place to host your next group event.  We have the ideal setup for scout groups, church retreats, youth groups, and other groups looking for a peaceful mountain setting with rustic accommodations and plenty of outdoor space.

We offer facility rentals when we are not in use by 4-H summer camp and school environmental education trips.  Our beautiful historic cabins sleep up to 230 people.  Two cabins have their own bathrooms, while the other 14 cabins are served by boys and girls bath houses.  You will need to bring your own bedding (sheets and blankets or a sleeping bag), pillow, towels, and soap. We provide housing only. No services are provided.

Cost to stay is $18 per person per night plus a $2 per person contract fee.  (2018-2019 Rates)

You can purchase hot freshly made meals in our full service dining hall.  Programming is also available for an extra charge.  Some popular activities include:

  • Zip Line
  • Climbing wall
  • Flying squirrel
  • Teambuilding
  • Archery
  • Stream Ecology
  • Herpetology

If you are interested in meals or programming please let us know at the time you make your reservation. We recommend you make your reservation several months or more in advance to secure your preferred date. A signed contract and $300 non-refundable deposit are required to complete a reservation.

Our minimum group size for facility rentals is 20 people.

We have plenty of pristine outdoor space, hiking trails, and fire rings onsite for your group to use.   Two indoor classrooms and a large recreation hall are also available for your group.

Please note: We do not allow pets in the camp and there is no kitchen to use to prepare your own meals.  But we do have a regular sized fridge and freezer in pavilion 4 you can use and we have several charcoal grills.

Please call us at 706-864-2050 or email deanap@uga.edu for more information.  We would love to have your group experience our beautiful location.
