Georgia 4-H Animal Science Programs offer extraordinary educational opportunities in contests and projects that challenge 4-Hers with real-life issues as they learn about agriculture through raising, showing, and evaluating livestock, equine, and poultry. These programs give students the opportunity to practice and acquire new knowledge in the fields of animal science, business, time management and leadership. Other animal science projects explore the care of companion and specialty animal feeding, handling, grooming, training, and veterinary care.

The University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (working cooperatively with Fort Valley State University, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the counties of Georgia) offers its educational programs, assistance, and materials to all people without regard to age, color, disability, genetic information, national origin, race, religion, sex, or veteran status, and is an Equal Opportunity Institution.
