What is UGA Extension Military Outreach?
UGA Extension Military Outreach builds partnerships and provides programs that help Georgia military families find positive ways to cope with the stress of military life.

  • Military Youth Support:
We leverage the 4-H Military Partnership to support Georgia military youth through collaboration with military partners providing 4-H Clubs, afterschool programs, summer camp opportunities and events on military installations and in local communities. With a large number of military installations in Georgia, as well as a healthy National Guard & Reserve population, almost every county in Georgia has 4-H eligible youth who are military dependent.

  • Military Family Support:
We provide Georgia military family support through positive youth development and community outreach resources. We extend land-grant knowledge and resources to provide programming for all audiences about the challenges military families face and working with military youth.

  • Georgia Military Installations by District

  • Georgia Military Youth Population by County

We offer a variety of programs and support to the military families of Georgia. Visit our New and Upcoming Events page for programs across the state, as well as our Resources for Military Families page. Also visit our Calendar for more events offered by Extension Military Outreach as well as our partner organizations.

Military camp season will be here soon. Visit our Summer Camps page for details on all of the military youth camps in Georgia and those coordinated by this office.

The national Operation:  Military Kids initiative concluded on 31 March 2015.  UGA Extension Military Outreach, along with our many partners in the state, continues to offer programming and support to Georgia’s military youth. This website will continue to provide support and connections to our state's military families.
