Kasey Bozeman
Kasey Bozeman serves as the Extension 4-H Specialist for Science Programs with Georgia 4-H. In this role, Kasey develops, implements, and evaluates state-level 4-H science programs, including Wildlife Judging, Mission Make-It: The Georgia 4-H Engineering Challenge, STEM Ambassadors, Pollinator Ambassadors, and Wildlife Ambassadors. Additionally, she trains and supports county-based faculty in science programming and develops curricula and other resources to support science and STEM initiatives. She is a UGA Service Public Service Associate.
In conjunction with the UGA Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, Kasey co-leads the Natural Resources Exploration Camp, a five-day immersive experience for high school youth focused on wildlife, forestry, fisheries, and environmental sciences. As a specialist, she previously served as the Lead State Advisor for National 4-H Council’s Tech Changemakers program, providing content and technical assistance to 1862 institutions implementing the project.
Kasey currently represents the University of Georgia on the national Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) Broadband Access and Digital Skills Program Action Team. She also co-leads the UGA Extension Workforce Development Task Force and serves on several advisory boards, including the Mary Kahrs Warnell Forest Education Center Advisory Board, the Advanced Training for Environmental Education in Georgia (ATEEG) Certification Advisory Board, and the Project WILD Advisory Team. For her outstanding work in environmental education, she was honored as the Outstanding Facilitator of the Year for both Project WILD and Project Learning Tree.
She currently serves as President-Elect of the National Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals and is a Past President of the Georgia Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals.
From 2011 to 2019, Kasey served as the Liberty County Extension Coordinator and 4-H Youth Development Agent, where she planned and taught educational programs and activities for 4-H youth. These included in-school meetings, out-of-school clubs, and project work focused on leadership, citizenship, and competitions. Under her guidance, multiple youth earned state honors, and a team won the State Land Judging Competition. She also served as the Long County Extension Coordinator.
Kasey has additional experience as a Child & Youth Specialist for the Air Force Reserve Command and as a Seasonal Environmental Education Instructor at Wahsega 4-H Center.
She earned a B.S. in Environmental Science from Piedmont College and an M.S. in Environmental Education from Nova Southeastern University. She is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Curriculum Studies from Georgia Southern University. Her favorite learning environments are outdoors, engaging, and fun. In her free time, she enjoys camping, hiking, traveling, reading, and crafting.
