2018 Watermelon Growing Contest Results
Georgia 4-H and the Georgia Watermelon Association is pleased to announce the winners of our annual Watermelon Growing Contest! Congratulations to John Gorton of Sumter county, for growing our winning watermelon, which weighed 168.6lbs! Our second and third place watermelons were grown by JT Clarke of Meriwether county, and Jordan Smothers of Walton county. These watermelons weighed 122lbs and 115.2lbs respectively.
