“I have volunteered through the years on the state and district level, but I must say that getting to help in various ways in my county has been a great experience. It is wonderful to watch these 4-H’ers gain confidence and succeed in their endeavors.
This after school activity (Cooking with Care) meets monthly during the school year. (It was started by a senior 4-H’er for her foods project several years ago.) Our 4-H agent, 4-H program assistant and our FACS agent, who are outstanding, along with several other great volunteers and senior 4-H’ers, plan topics to teach and menus for each time.” – Mary Mills
As a 4-H club leader, you will gain the skills necessary to lead the next generation of our youth down a positive path of success. This position seeks caring, enthusiastic, and determined leaders who can create a positive experiential learning experience for our youth. Volunteers must be able to communicate, design, and activate experientially based lesson plans and activities pertaining to their club’s topic of interest. Volunteers must be able to work with minimal supervision from professional staff and be able to organize and delegate responsibility for their club. We expect all volunteers to uphold 4-H guidelines and values.
