Casey Mull, Ph.D.

State Military Liaison / 4-H Air Force Youth Specialist

Casey D. Mull grew up in Athens, Georgia, becoming involved in 4-H in his fifth grade class in the Clarke County School District.  Active in 4-H from the fifth grade, Mull mastered in the General Recreation Project and in the Dean’s Award for Citizenship.  For three summers, Casey served as a 4-H Camp Counselor at Rock Eagle 4-H Center.

Casey received his Bachelor of Science in Business from the Calloway School of Business and Accountancy at Wake Forest University, receiving the Spirit of Wayne Calloway Award during his senior year.  In addition to serving as a President’s Aide, he co-founded the Traditions Council in his final semester.  He is also a member of Chi Psi Fraternity.  

Casey has served military families through Cooperative Extension since 2006 and assumed a dual role of State Military Liaison and 4-H/Air Force Youth Specialist in 2009.  With his appointment with the 4-H/Air Force Partnership, he supports evaluation, professional and staff development and teen programming at Air Force bases worldwide.  His state responsibilities include leveraging University of Georgia resources to support families and communities instrumental to national security and defense.  Currently, he serves as the President of the National Association of Extension 4-H Agents.  

His doctorate of philosophy is in adult education, learning, and organizational development.   Casey is also a runner, competing in approximately 175 races per year.  He completed study at the World Wide College of Auctioneering, becoming a third generation auctioneer. He is an Air Force Reservist serving at the 94th Airlift Wing at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Ga.

His research and extension interests include community engagement, relational contracting, boundary spanning, social media marketing strategies and camping. Casey Mull on ResearchGate
