Alumni Spotlight: Dr. Julian Harris
Alumni Spotlight: Dr. Julian Harris
Georgia 4-H State Council culminates each year with the Citizenship Ceremony, a long-standing Georgia 4-H tradition in which recent and upcoming high school graduates pledge to participate in America’s civic process. This year’s ceremony was led by Dr. Julian Harris, a distinguished Georgia 4-H alumnus and recently-named National 4-H Luminary. He is an accomplished primary care physician and the CEO of ConcertoCare.
During his impressive career in medicine, Dr. Harris has worked as the founding President of CareAllies and served as an advisor to Google Ventures health care service. He led the healthcare team in the White House Office of Management and Budget, where he oversaw a $1 trillion budget and provided management for a range of key healthcare programs.

Dr. Harris earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University. He is also a graduate of the Wharton School of Business and the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where he serves as an adjunct professor. He trained in internal medicine and primary care at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and served on the clinical faculty at Harvard Medical School.
As a Houston County 4-H’er, Dr. Harris served as the 1995-1996 President of the Georgia 4-H State Board of Directors. Georgia 4-H is proud to celebrate his recognition as a National 4-H Luminary and his commitment to supporting future generations of 4-H’ers.
