A number of scholarship opportunities are available to 4-Hers involved in livestock projects.

  • Georgia Junior Livestock Foundation Scholarship
    • One $1,500 scholarship in memory of Lee Harris, Jr.
    • Five $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors who have been actively involved in the Georgia Junior Livestock Program
    • These scholarships are handled by the Georgia Junior Livestock Foundation.
    • Deadline: January 12, 2018
  • Georgia Beef Cattle Exhibitors “Youth Leadership” Scholarship
    • Multiple $500 scholarships
    • Deadline: February 10, 2017
  • Guthrie Dairy Youth Leadership Award
    • This cash award will be given annually to 4-H or FFA members involved in youth dairy programs or activities and who need financial assistance in order to participate in workshops, conferences, field days or any other dairy-related activity that would enhance their leadership abilities. Exhibiting your Dairy Heifer Project is not considered a qualifying program for this scholarship.

  • Johnathon Gabriel Memorial Scholarship
    • One $1,200 scholarship

  • Junior National Catalog Scholarship
    • $500 scholarship
    • Donor: Junior National Catalog
    • Awarded to the winner in the 12th grade showmanship at the State Beef Cattle, Market Hog, Market Goat, Market Lamb Show, Breeding Ewe and Commercial Dairy Heifer Shows. May be awarded to a 4-H’er or FFA member attending any college or university.

    • One $500 Scholarship

  • Emmanuel College Diversified Agriculture Scholarship
    • Open to any High School Senior who has applied to Emmanuel College and have declared Diversified Agriculture as their major.
    • One $4,000 scholarship –money will be applied to the student’s college account each semester they are enrolled in the Emmanuel College Diversified Agriculture major. ($1000 per year)
