Live Exhibit Gallery

Visit Tidelands exhibit gallery and view live animals native to our Georgia coast! The live exhibit gallery is open to the public and includes marine and reptile species. Here’s a sneak peek at what you can find.

Saltwater Exhibits

Our saltwater exhibit area includes aquariums with live marine animals including fish, crabs, sting rays, sea turtles and more, as well interpretive displays about seashells, the salt marsh, and shrimp trawling!

Reptile Exhibits

Our reptile area features many species of reptiles including gopher tortoises, snakes, alligators, and turtles. 

Outdoor and Annex Exhibits

Outside the main building we have several exhibits including models of a right whale calf and manatee. Check our annex building which features a 1,300 gallon aquarium.  In the yard area we have a birding area often visited by painted buntings, and a wildlife viewing platform.

Admission Cost:

$5.00 per person:  Adult/Youth/Senior/Military  (Ages 2 and under – no charge).

Tidelands Exhibit Gallery Hours:

Current hours are: Monday – Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m (with some exceptions when school or group programs are scheduled off site).

Tidelands Exhibit Gallery Gift Shop:

Our Tidelands Gift Shop is open during regular exhibit hours. Look for your favorite coastal animals among our selection of T-shirts or collection of stuffed animals. Nature books, ID cards, note cards, posters, etc.  We gladly accept cash or check. (We currently do not accept credit or debit cards for gift shop purchases).
